FAQs

How does the process work?

No job is too big or too small. Send me a message on my Contact page or shoot me an email telling me what you're looking for. Then we can agree on a brief. The brief includes the theme(s) of your story or assignment, your copy to be edited, and/or the research you want done. We'll also agree on word count/page length, deadline, and payment plus any additional expenses (i.e., travel, utility bills, etc.).

By agreeing to my brief, you are agreeing to my terms and conditions.

You'll then receive a written contract to sign, and return to me.

Rates and payment will be agreed upon during the brief before any work is carried out.

Then, it's all on me. I'll carry out the assignment, providing you with regular updates at each stage, as needed, and deliver the final work on or before the agreed deadline.

You'll then receive an invoice for my work.

Full payment is required within fifteen (15) days of receipt of invoice, whether or not my work is used.

How long will it take?

I will complete the assignment on or before the agreed deadline, unless the deadline is changed for a valid reason.

Should the deadline have to be changed by either you or me, I will, where reasonable, give you at least 24 hours' notice.

The timeline depends on the length of the assignment and the amount of editing and/or research that is required.

For example, proofreading and editing a 10-page research paper will typically take three days; drafting a complete, in-depth 3000-word assignment will typically take ten days, provided that I'm given sufficient advance notice; editing a 1000-word blog post will typically take two days.

 What is the payment method?

Full payment is required within fifteen (15) days of receipt of my invoice, whether or not my work is used.

All payments are made via bank transfer.

A rate of 10% interest per day, after the 15-day period following the receipt of any invoice, will be charged for late payment or non-payment.

If a brief is terminated, cancelled, or ended prematurely for any reason, payment for all work completed and expenses incurred to date is required within 15 days of receipt of the invoice for such work and expenses. Interest for late payment or non-payment will apply in the same way as described above.
